Well this whole getting pictures thing hasn't been going too well, been a bit busy repairing the car etc etc

However here's one things I bought

50ft winch extension line and another couple of snatch blocks

Winch extensions are handy for the obvious but also handy as tow ropes if you need to direct the pull through a snatch block

And I wanted to have 3 snatch blocks in the car in case I needed to do some complicated rigging, winching backwards or winching the rear of the car into position etc etc

So

Better get this boxed off

Will try to post things chronologically:

Bought a quick strop off Gwyn Lewis

Painted the inside of the shell/roof area Matt black

Bought a couple more snatch blocks for more complex rigs

Fitted an elastic net to keep the winchmans gear to hand

Built a shelf to keep sleeping bags/dry clothes etc high and dry

Can't really see it in this ****e picture

Can see it better here, also houses speakers

Fitted x lites to the rear for visibility in the forest etc

They work

Fitted a nice net up top for more goodies

Upped air system pressure to 150psi but then locker solenoids leaked so fitted a reg to drop them to 100psi

Here's the shelf in action also with rear interior light fitted

Got skanked 100 for this from QT, thanks guys

Had an led work light in the rear for a while switched at the front but using that circuit for x lites now

Also fitted some dim lights for bedtime

These needed a 2 way switch

which needed a little bracket

Painted my tatty lower shelf black

Laptop died and it's decided iPad the future so bought one and redesigned the dashboard, frees up space for future terratrip and co driver controls on passenger side, watch this space

Andy Thomlinson from plasma/Ruftraks (top guy) sent me a plasma lock

Which is ####ing handy cos I went off roading the day before it arrived and did a load of damage mainly boring stuff but the biggest deal is I snapped my winch rope :(

****but that's abother story, got some grill work to do also soon****

Also ripped the doors some more

So more trimming was done

took more door out

And also took material out of the arches to make more room for the, urm, chunky pitbulls

That's all for now chums :)

Thanks guys :)

I have a mate who is even more OCD than me and he forced me to do the painting, the shelf etc

But I appreciate it cos it's really made the vehicle come together

Nice one :)

Bit more for y'all:

Bought a new grill from SteDisco as I had to make some changes to my current setup, and needed to start again

Here it is cut for the winch at the bare minimum

Here's the relocated isolator, the previous grill/position fouled on a spot lamp

I inherited a different set of strobes a while ago, decided this type would be more suitable for the new position

So I made some little brackets, they need the corners rounding over still by the way

And they'll fit somewhere like this on the lamp bar

But had to abort mission tonight as I need someone to hold the brackets whilst I tack them on to the bar! :p

So

I collared an assistant to hold the lamps whilst I tacked them on to the bar, then stripped it down and welded up, theres no pics of this!

Then removed and painted and refitted

Then built the bar back up

Wooo video :) (the music is on the radio :behindsofa: )

Just need a rope now :(:(:(

That's your favourite CD and you know it :D

Looking good mate. Where did you get front plate made up by the way? And is legal font size etc etc. That's exactly what I want, but a half arsed google the other night didn't reveal much.
