Hi all:

Had the electrical gremlins. Totally flat battery no dash lights or even an attempt at starting. So replaced the battery and alternator (charging at 14.2v) the battery lasted 2 weeks before it was flat again (no dash lights nothing) and again this morning, it would start with jump leads and has been fine since today (few little journey) I got the multi meter out to test for a drain but all seemed well. I also have a battery isolator. The theme seems to be the cold weather. Any ideas? 300tdi disco conversion.

******and now the heater is not working grrrrrr******

Check your battery lead terminals on the battery and then check the other ends of the leads.

I had the same thing after I got mine back from havine the worlds most expensive clutch replaced, I found that the -ive lead to the gearbox was only finger tight!

Nipped it up and no problems since!

As a bit of background, I metered out the entire system and no faults showed up, and I found the loose connection purely by accident!
