From alarms and immobilisers to pedal locks or window grills, there are a lot of good and bad devices out there.

Im looking for the tried and tested quality products that people would really recommend. i have just bought my land rover and with land rover theft so high i want to spend some money on security before i do anything :ballchain:

I've got an "ardcase" pedal lock which I find looks very obvious so deters theft but that also doesn't take too much time to unlock when I want to use the vehicle. I've also got a gear lever lock which is also very good. There are ways round both these devices for the determined criminal but there good at deterring opettunists I think.

anyone got thoughts, good or bad on these STOPLOCK steering wheel devices, they look very visible and fairly quick to fit and remove=providing you have a key. I have the built in steering lock, plus a Thatcham alarm at the moment.,

I remove the rotor arm and the steering wheel (takes seconds to remove and replace) but sadly the only SURE way of protecting your treasured Landy from these Vermin! is locked in a brick built garage with an immobilized BULLDOZER in front of the doors:mad:

:clap2:Dog with good hearing and a shotgun.

I entirely agree, sadly though the laws in this (equally) sad country don't support such action. I've got an immobiliser + a Disklock, both Thatcham approved, restricted access to the vehicle & agreed value insurance, but if the scumbags really want it ....

Sadly though, none of these devices will stop better-equipped scumbags from winching the LR onto a beaver-tail, so some means of preventing the vehicle being moved at all is probably the ultimate deterrent.
