'The terrifying moment a mountain rescue team's Land Rover flipped over..' is a rather dramatic title for a 19sec video of a Landrover laying on it's side..

It's only on it's side. Once righted it'll still be driveable and just need some repairs. I think they're being a bit overdramatic.

Shouldve had a roll cage! I rolled mine and all I did was get a fork truck to lift it up again!

Can't see how it needs to be replaced, bit of broken glass, a few dents, ohhhh, maybe the mirror is busted too, bit like that story yesterday where some knob heads stole the spotlights and snorkel off a rescue 110 and the representative then said it was unusable? Only needed the side intake grill clipping back in FFS.
I appreciate they possibly use these stories to raise awareness for their worthwhile cause, but please make the drama believable.

I suppose I could go to wife claiming that my 110 needs replacement as its a little dirty and one of the solenoids sticks infrequently on my off side rear door central locking? Maybe a Face Head campaign or a private Ad in Private Eye might work?

Fecking nation of Ninnys

This one, yes I agree, the other I dont know the area it covered well enough, a snorkel could quite easily be a necessity in some areas.

which makes me grin at certain types of landie owners who live in cities, then dress up there tired old landies with offroad kits and just drive to tescos in it coz it looks tough....:clap2:

always remember a quote from one of our own LZ`ers who said, a standard series on standard tyres will do just as good as a billy big bollox with trucked out tyres and lift kits
(maybe not quite all his words but)
because landrovers were designed and made to do a job...

Looks OK to me, may need a new door mirror. That said we had a 90 roll in a trial last year, which distorted the bulkhead, but the rescue landy, the windscreen is'nt even cracked.

I would imagine though that the insurance company will black mark it and prevent them reusing a perfectly good car

Hmm, reminds me of a mate ringing his guvnor from Ipswich sugar beet factory,

"Boss I can't do the third pick up, me passenger mirrors broken"

"Well just change the mirror then ya numpty"

"Er I can't, the lorry's laying on it"

"Your sacked"
