Hi everyone, having some serious trouble with my td5, was out green laning, and going up quite a steep banking the engine cut out.

when I went to start it again it cranked over, initially heard it trying to start and then within a second the engine management lights comes on.

Did go through a few puddles so I checked the air box and the top half was full of water, got it all out and investigated further, found water hadn't made its way as far as the inlet manifold. Changed the crank sensor too but still nothing.

It's cranking fast too and the battery is good.
Any ideas?

No not really, as I say I took the hose off from the intercooler to the inlet manifold and it was dry, just a fine coating of oil. Would low fuel pressure cause the mil light to come on during cranking?

no fuel pressure wont cause mil to come on as the ecu doesnt monitor fuel pressure, get it plugged into diagnostics its easier than guessing

shes alive again! took the ecu out and opened it up to find some moisture, so i left it on top of the boiler to help dry
managed to get hold of a nanocom, and when i plugged the ecu back in she fired straight up!
Luckily it doesnt seemed to have damaged the ecu. But i'll give it a good clean and seal it all back up.
