Hello all I currently have a 110 v8
I am selling due to the misses wantiing more practical for family. im looking for bit help/advice.
I have been offered part exchange on it for a discovery 2003 td5
Are there any things I should look out for?is there anything that majorly goes wrong on them?
That discovery I'm looking at is on eBay he wants my 110 plus£1000.
Mine also on eBay item number 261680885148.
And the discovery item number is 171554063383.
Is it worth it?
Also how much do you reckon mine is worth?
Would really appreciate any help as don't want be stung here.
Cheers benn

Ok cheers pikey i do that,I did think was a lot money what do you think it's worth his discovery?if chassis ok?

What's the Disco worth? It depends entirely on condition.

The single most important area to examine VERY CAREFULLY is the chassis - from the rear axle to the rear bumper. These are VERY prone to rust and it is not at all unknown to find them with large holes in the chassis rails.

If the metal in the chassis rails looks 'blown' that is due to rust. If it's been recently Waxoyled examine it carefully just in case someone is trying to cover something up.

Assuming the chassis is good - only little surface rust - then I would say that looking at the Disco, this age and mileage is worth maybe £3000 to £3300. That puts the value of your 110 at approx £2000. That doesn't sound too bad to me for a 30 yr old Def with a v8 petrol (non-std) engine.

So to summarise; IF the Disco is free from the tin-worn and everything works as it should, the £1100 plus your Def sounds like a reasonable deal.

PM me if you want more info.

Cheers and good luck

Dave
