Hi folks,

just a question to the Td5 owners:

how often is the injector loom being replaced from your experience?

After having massive cut-outs I replaced the AMR 6103 against a new one.
Removed the oil out of the male solenoid connector with a blast of breake cleaner and this with compressed air.

Cold engine started well and purrs like a kitten when at operating temperature. Good power and drivability.

Started engine some time later with resisual heat (may be 35...40 degrees Celsius): again very rough engine running and poor power not even when at operation temperature.

I remember that it was a very cheap harness and not genuine.

Any ideas/comments?

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply.

I never discovered oil contamination on the red plug - it is dry and clean. There's also no oil in the bulkhead connector at the underside of the rocker cover.

But: in the 5 injector plugs under the rocker cover the oil is omnipresent and may cause contact resistance.

In terms of plugging tester: Fault code memory is clear. All sensors show reasonable values. "Cylinder balance" is OK. (Using Hawkeye and Faultmate).

Checked also fuel pump by catching fuel from return flow (after regulator) into a measuring pot over a minute or so: exactly same result (approx. 3 liters/min) for cold and hot fuel.
