As you may know if you follow my threads, the L322 is suffering coolant issues again.

Me thinks this is down to the LPG vap leaking gas pressure into the Cooling system causing massive airlocks as it only happens after an LPG fill.!!!

Anywho.....today I have disconnected the LPG Vap and looped the cooling pipes together - more in my other thread here => http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/now-curiouis-one-coolant-over-pressure-overheat-268449.html

So with no LPG system plumbed in I had to get petrol - first time in a long time I have had to fill a car up with petrol as the L322 is LPG (obviously) the P38 is LPG, my BMW was LPG, my previous Classic was LPG and the Fiat 500 has a thimble for a fuel tank!

£105 ...................... £105...........feck that!!

Never seen the L322 gauge read full before! Nice to know that bit still works though!

Thats cheap per litre that is saint.

yes it does hurt when you see three figures, but not many cars on the road can say it takes over £100 to fill it. ;-)

Ant,

At least you were able to get to the petrol station to fuel up.
All the best for getting her sorted.
Here's mine (o/s/f wheel arch pictured) as it sits on the drive going nowhere anytime soon .....!!!!

I do 600 miles per week in my Rangie, L322 TD6, going to work and back every day and weekend driving. Average fill up is 91 litres at £1.32 per litre...
Think that works out at £120 per week, every week (less four weeks for hols, even though I always end up doing the driving!)...equals approx £5760 P/A for my fuel.....

Holy cow, just glad I've got a Range Rover though!:D

Damn Rob....that doesn't look good.....what have you done to her???

I use the Tesco voucher and get 22p/ltr off!!!
Guy we all need to do this...
try to manage one fill up per month..

not sure of the detail as my wife does the shopping.
but you get fuel voucher related to monthly shopping bill and that voucher we get ranges from 16-22p/ltr off per month...
we reverve it especially for an empty RR fuel tank...
details must be on their web somewhere..

Long story, to cut it short needed to change front airbags.
whilst removing them, ARB droplink seized, had to cut that off both ends, ordered new droplink.
Lower track arm bush fubard, so thought i'd change that while im at it. The ball joint was all seized on and fubard too, cut it out making a mess of things. The two bolts were stuck in the hub carrier so had to take while the whole assembly off to try and remove them.
An hours job has turned into 1 1/2 days work and still need to extract the bolts out and re-assemble.

The moral of the story, old, rusty hardended bolts are buggers to drill out...

Ouch....Now that hurts!
Good Luck getting her up and running mate....

How are you getting on Rob? Got her back on the road yet?

No Better off ATM mate, still running around in dad's old D2. Slight come down from the Rangie, but it works...!!! 2 weeks tomorrow it's been Off the road.

Trying to drill out the bolts/snapped screw extractor out from hub carrier. Never had to drill anything like it! Absolute &@&£)(d of a job. Cobalt drill bits blunting very quickly!

Having another stab at it tomorrow with some new drill bits, so hopefully get them drilled through and just nut and bolt the ball joint.

Once it's re assembled, I've got the N/S to be getting on with.....:rolleyes:
