16mm, 17mm, 18.5mm 36 spine confusion.. Help please

Hi guys, been looking for a smaller steering wheel for my discovery 200tdi it's a 36 spline but not having much luck, so looking at a steering boss, I no I need a 36 spline one, but it's saying something about 16mm, 17mm, 18.5mm column, can anyone shed some light in this? I no he retaining nut was a 19mm

Anyone? I just need to no what bit is measured is it the spine diameter?

Maybe ask whoever's saying what sizes they have? They should be able to tell you where they get the measurement from.

I've sent a few messages but no answer, just been out to the motor, got a 17mm spanner over the splines with the ring end, but wouldn't fit over with the flat end, would probably gone over with a bit of force so hope that answers my question
