How much have you spent restoring your Series?

I've spent around £1500
Cheapskate!:)

Moneypit is right, there are things that I didn't "need", like soft top hood and sticks so it could have come in at a lower figure, but to get Clyde, .......the "easy project".... on the road.
£2,300

Cheer up everything's relative:)

If you had oil central heating you'd be spending £3000 per year.

£740 for 1980 series 3 in fair condition
£100 for chassis shot blasting and wheels shotblasted and primed
£70 on 2 new tyres
£700 on parts
£100 consumables, (wd40 etc)

All told so far...
Aprox £1700

A love affair money pit.

£900 for 1983 109 3 Series.
£300 for delivery from Southampton to Suffolk
A year of my life
£200 for new tools, consumables etc
£300 for parts
And still only down to chassis, haven't started rebuild yet!

£7972.80p including £2000 purchase price in Aug 2006 done 3000+ miles this year and is well used and enjoyed.
About 13,500 miles in total in the 8 years
That cost does not include fuel or insurance , and probably other bits I have forgotten to record.

Bought my 1980 109 for £200 as sat in a meadow for 3 years, spent about £1000 Tidying it up and getting through MOT. when I bought it it was just to take off road when shooting, but now the Landy has got to me. Still need a new full canvas. Question is where to stop!

Probably about 6-7k (not including rent for my workshop and all the tools I've bought). I did overspend on the purchase price by about £2k though...

Still it doesn't owe me anything, it's my daily driver and so far has never let me down...now I've said it!

Excluding purchase price I have spent over £10k. I haven't even done anything to the engine and gearbox aside from oils and seals. Money well spent though and wouldn't be without her. :)
