Yep I had to winch up from about half way on the tippy bit Paul,it is a lot worse than I have ever seen it and was very muddy in the bottom. Trust me I was surprised as I have never struggled before on it.

thanks Andy, I gave 1 shackle back to Sarah today which I picked up on Saturday, so I am missing one shackle all silver coloured and 1 strop length not sure but its the shortest you can get think its 3 metres ?

I was really impressed with the team effort at the weekend. We had a good time in my group but I bet we all would like to have been involved with the recovery and stuff you did.

And well done AndyD90 for taking over as leader for the first time, you did a great job

Big thanks to Andy (our group leader) and to the others who planned this trip. We had a good time, was good to have a test run in the new landy & decide what bits to modify.

The rock was a bit of a challenge, shame the rain lost all traction, like the others have said, it's a group effort to get each other out when somebody gets stuck. I've checked the back of the car, definitely not got any shackles/straps that aren't mine. Get yer mums to write your name on your stuff before the next trip

shouldn't have to write your name on things when your with friends and I am sure they will turn up,

would be a miracle if I could get my mum to put my name on it as she passed away years ago

I've jokingly mentioned in the past about 20 ton of hardcore shovelled into Belford...

Logistics and cost aside for a moment, would that kind of "infill" be classed as making an easement? If it were to happen I'd assume consultation and permission from the local authority, yes?

Belford should be blown apart with a 40 megaton bomb and then any remains heavily napalmed - that will solve the problem (although may generate issues with certain authorities)

Had a fantastic weekend ...Thanks Andys Thanks to all the leaders, rescuers ,route planners, co pilots, cow movers and gate bitches.
When I have a spare half hour I will get my photos sorted and shall try figure out the video thing.

Another big thanks to Sue, Zip and Andy for another great outing...I enjoyed the extra responsaillty with helping out with a little leading, a great experience for future trips also a lot learnt at the same time...

Had an epic on both Saturday and Sunday great camaraderie and team sprit, I enjoyed immensely....

Damage,
Wonky aerial, just needed tighteng, fixed.
Lost all fluid from screen wash resoviour, dodgy fitting,
Pride, forgetting to ingage diflock before attempting cam steps, and making a meal of it, with diflock ingageged drove straight up :doh:


Good to see everyone old and new, from both groups...

I've seen the mess in the back of some peoples vehicles (not naming names lol), I dunno how some of you find your own stuff let alone anyone elses stuff you end up with by mistake
