So I'm taking my newly acquired girlfriend out for her first trip in the landy - this is a big deal, the two women in my life get to met each other.

Its early days so I'd quite like to show her a good time (I know what your thinking and I don't mean it like that;)). Given that I now feel this forum is a bit like an extended family, albeit a grumpy, miserable and abusive family, I thought I'd ask for some advice.

I was thinking of doing some green laning around suffolk and maybe camping out in Thetford forrest or Rendlesham forrest.

Anyone got any recommendations? Know any good camp sites in Thetford or Rendlesham?

I've never been green laning around these parts, does anyone know of any routes or good lanes? She's going to have a go a driving so it would be great to have some challenging stuff for me to show off on and some even more challenging stuff for her to have a go at. Also, some gentle lanes for enjoying the scenery. Anyone know of where to get some maps of lanes?

Thanks chaps and please keep your answers clean!

Just take her to the Duke of York in Woodbridge, or Black Tiles in Martlesham and you'll be fine ;)

By the way, if there is good routes in Sar#### for green laning, count me in. I'll be a gooseberry!

The duke of york is fantastic! Been there a few times.

Well I'll let you know what i find. a quick google shows a few ones around thetford

At a yacht race a few years ago there was an old chap spectator, and he must have been in his late 70's with a piece of Group One hanging onto his arm.

As we passed on of my crew said to me, 'Wonder where he got her from'

He must have heard, because his response was, 'Yachting World, of course!'

Sorry, forgot to say that they were on at least three quarters of a million quids worth of plastic fantastic!
