I seem to be having a problem with a leaky boot and cant work out where the water is getting in. I first noticed the little hidey hole in my boot floor full of water, since then the boot carpet is sopping. Cant find any obvious leaks. Has anyone had this problem?

Hi Ally1979,
See if the roof lining at the back window is wet next time it rains, if so then here is the fix.
You need to remove the black trim around the top and sides of the outside of the rear window.(Three pieces in total) Be very careful as the clips will break, you'll probably need to buy new clips. Once the trim has been removed, remove the metal bracket which is held on to the back of the roof with five screws. Once this is off you'll notice the white plastic grommets, remove these, clean them and the back of the roof. I put 'o' rings around them and window mastic (it's black gooey stuff that stays soft so it seals really well) Once you've done that you can put it back together.
Hope this helps.

if you remove the carpet and in the off side in the corner of your boot you will see some wires with a rubber gromit you need to seal around the wires

Had the same prob on my 2000 3dr, it was the seal that sticks the waterproof membrane to the boot door, it had come away at the bottom, easy fix.
Remove panel off door and where the membane has come away (unstuck) from the door - seal it back up, i used some clear silicon, no more leaks
