So I want to use my chassis to make a little project. However all the body I want gone, Was going to cut it up but my angle grinder is dead. So is there any way I can remove chassis and pull rest of it onto a trailer or will all just pull apart without the chassis holding it together? If too much hassle I will just scrap the chassis!

all bolts together/apart:)

Yeah what I mean is am I able to jack up the body and pull the chassis out and then drag the remaining shell onto a trailer with out it just pulling apart or will I need to remove all the crap and body off chassis! Unable to lift the whole body where it is sat.

defender? pretty sure you can remove the body in one.

be a little fiddly though with leccies and disconning all the engine bits n bobs

You can remove the body as one.

Here's one I did earlier.

Sorry, thought you meant Defender.

i think you have to take out the seats/carpets etc to get at the body/chassis mounting bolts etc.will it not be worth buying a lidl type angle grinder?

Whole disco body can be lifted of chassis as one but it's heavy, when we did my mates disco chassis change we lifted the whole body up on 4post ramp and rolled chassis out, rebuilt new rolling chassis and rolled it back underneath and dropped body on

Yeah I was hoping to just drop out chassis and leave body on axle stands, Then once the chassis is removed(much jacking etc etc). Drop body on floor so I can drag the body onto the trailer.. think I will need to get a grinder and cut body off. Seen a nice one half price for £80(may as well buy a decent one). I know it's only like 6-8 bolts, Engine is dropping out tomorrow so that will be one less issue!
