Auto is fine its just that you have to be careful with the v8 as they like to break down when damp. Even a misty day can do them in! Top quality ign components should sort that tho. But the 300tdi is a more reliable engine. Id still have the v8 tho if I could afford it
A bit of damp start will sort that.

Yeah but nothing gives PAM (puckered arse mode) like a flooded engine turning over endlessly at 7pm 100 miles from home with wife and sleeping baby in back! Once flooded, damp start may be too late if your in an auto woth a flat battery. Yes I cranked it too long.....

A forty odd mph bump start will soon sort that. Smash yer nerves to pieces though!
