Hi folks,

Quick clarification please

I noticed my donor 300tdi Bulkhead has a PDWA valve fitted to it.
My 200TDI didn't have this.

I have upgraded my brakes over the last 24 months (rear Salisbury to Disc from Drum, and front axle is a 300tdi etc)

1. Do I need it as a safety feature?
2. What exactly does it do?
2. Will my 200TDi loom have the wiring for it anyway?

thanks in advance....

just grabbed this of the net, its a 'Pressure Differential Warning Actuator' basically lets you know if theres a pressure differance in a dual circuit braking system, dont know if you have the wiring for it but could probably get by without it, just my take on it so someone may know better.

Think they are only fitted to 110's, so it may be that your bulkhead is from a 110 but you are running a 90?

Do you have a brake fluid sensor in your brake resv? If so, I would say that you don't need it.

It puts the brake warning light on when it detects an imbalance between the front and rear brake pressures - so it's a good early warning system that indicates if you have a leak.

Hi...its a 93 200TDI 110. Yes to sensor in resv, however I may put it on and wire it up to so it works as you describe...thanks for the reply
