my injector pump on a Defender 200tdi started heavy drips this morning.

drips are coming off bottom, don't seem to be coming from any pipe or pipe union I can see. No evidence on top when looking down on pump, only from underneath.

More info: cleaned up the pump. looks to be leaking from the seam were the injector pipe(s) block joins the main body. now in looking at it, i would imagine there is a gasket there, that has failed.

Can anyone confirm or deny my hunch and if there is a gasket kit for that, and of course, is it a DIY level of repair.
still runs fine, no smoke. drips only when running.

Advice, or suggestions.
regards
Mark

gday mate;

had the same happen to me, there's an o-ring seal thats there. the way to fix it is easy just have to be careful not to remove the hydralic end to far as the springs will fall out of there spots and you will have to remove the pump to fix. just take off the injector lines and theres 4 bolts that will have to be removed, just leave to in and back off slowly so that you can just see the o-ring, then stop undoing the 2 bolts. get a o-ring pick and take out the o-ring, from memory you will have to swap bolts to get new o-ring into the seat, but it should stetch over the hydralic end of the pump easly. just take your time and be carefull. did this on mine and it worked a treat. hope that helps cheers wally

Had the same on mine, had the engine out so bought a complete engine gasket set, about £13, my garage friend fitted them all but there was a no ring in there and maybe a gasket for the pump so should be easily done following the steps above

I know this is an older thread but I figured I would bump it up instead of starting a new thread. I am having the same issues and need to swap out the o ring.
Any idea what size it is or what the actual part number is?
Cheers,
Dave

Have you clicked on any of the above links, the answer is there if you look.

i can't easily find just the o-ring you are looking for but here are part numbers for seal kits that include that ring. DGK-126 or DGK-121. The 126 seems common and easy to get and pretty inexpensive.

Douchenozzle thats the dirty bit, how many do you own?
Actually Im English, the Scots and Welsh are as ####ing stupid as the yanks:D

Is that location correct (marked in red) ?
