Petrol or diesel?

I can't help directly but have found with my diesel and both son's BMW Z4's that the O rings are (unsurprisingly) metric. Measure the diameter of the cord, usually 3.5 or 4mm for bigger diameter rings, and the inside diameter of the ring. Your local bearing supplier will be able to quickly supply some for pennies. Go for Viton material if you can get it though I suspect Buna or Neoprene is probably OK, for temperature and chemical resistance, for cooling water. Alternatively the boxed sets of O rings usually have the right size.

The O ring from Ebay could be right. Green ones are Viton I believe.

A bit more specific information would help. Let us know what you find out.

Yes, buy one of those kits - you will find a use for them quite often - on car and otherwise.

If you've got a set, then you will not be tempted to reuse one just because you haven't got a replacement to hand!
