Hi all.

My D1 has had a few outings since purcahse, all seems well. However one of the rear passenger door lock pins seems loose and you can quite freely move it up and down without any resistance that the others seem to have. More annoyingly, it doesnt unlock when the other doors do when the fob is pressed. It wiggles a bit bit thats it.

Is the likely cause a simplr rod or spring in the door mech or something more sinister?

Further to that, today it seemed that the boot door unlocks on when fob is pressed but doesnt lock when pressed again. The mech doesnt appear to do anything.

As im new to DIY repairs, does this sound like a common easy to fix quirk or a more involved pain in the arse fest?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes

Your rear door could be the fact that the actuator could be sat too far forward so doesn't pull the rod down far enough hence not unlocking the door.

Just take the door trim off loosen the two 10mm bolts holding the actuator and move it back a fraction, tighten the bolts.

This was the problem on my 300 front passenger door. Hope it's as simple on yours.
