What are the relays in front of the battery?

On my '02 TD4 there are three relays mounted in front of the battery, one is yellow and the others are black, but have fuses on them. I noticed the other day that one of the black ones clicks several times, but minutes apart, after the engine has been switched off. Also, the yellow one has come apart and the guts have dropped out of the bottom and they look like they have been like that for some time - very corroded.

There are no known electrical faults with it (honest!).

Any suggestions appreciated.
