200tdi help needed please

The car is an L reg so not sure if has had a late 200tdi air box fitted or if L reg was late 200tdi but having had a look online, the one i ordered was an early 200tdi air filter whereas the late one has that lid as part of it. The defender one has some sort of plastic sleeve on it.

i've been very deep in it
thankfully I'd bodged it enough till it was water tight i guess. If I hadn't of taken that foam ring off one end and the metal cap off the other end of the filter, the cap wouldnt go on so I modified with a hammer, drill and chisel until it did. :banplease: As I know the filter inside has been forced to fit, i'll correct it to make sure anyway and use some silicon seal or something to be double sure.

I remember doing that just after buying mine and promising the wife i'd leave it alone.
I then ordered a light bar, 6 spots, cb radio, full set of discs and pads, two service kits, belt kit, speedo cable, hi/lo HID kit, farm jack, tow straps, 4 x 33x13.5" maxxis mudzillas....you get the idea

haha exactly what my mrs said, if your getting another landy your no wasting money on it.
Ordered a new boot floor, cross member, handbrake shoes and a few other bits while she was asleep lol.
Mines quite standard apart from cb, 5 foot whip ect. Looking for a snorkel now.

that airbox looks like my one which is a L reg 200tdi but it's too far back the inner wing so looks like it's the wrong snorkel and the air box has been moved to fit the snorkel. is that the washer tank in the drivers side of the engine bay as that one mine is between the air box and the windscreen so if you can't fit it where it should be then the airbox has definitely been moved to fit the snorkel. unfortunately I don't have a pic of my engine bay but i can get one tomorrow if you want. I don't have a snorkel yet but it'll show you where the airbox is at least. I can even take a pic with a tape measure so you can get a proper scale to work from aswell if you want
