Can someone tell me where the switch is for this, I'm looking for a facelift with this fitted, problem is every one here in Ireland as per usual is base spec, I'm hoping someone added it so I'm trying to identify it on web site adverts. Anyone help me out?

Thanks... Could one be retrofitted? Surely just needs a switched 12v switched supply and a heated screen ( maybe from auto glass.....)

Yes can be retrofitted. Just need the 2x fuses,a relay, switch and the heated windscreen. The wiring is allready there on post 2001 models.

That sounds good. Is the wiring still there on a late 2006 facelift, which has the PTC heater? I haven't seen the fuse box mentioned in my owners manual.

fuse boxes are as follows under the steering wheel in the cubby hole and in the engine bay . wire it through the ignition then it can not be left on accidently, where about in Ireland are you?

I quite fancy retrofitting the heated front screen to my 2001 V6. Anyone know how much the screen would be to fit. My current screen could to with being replaced anyway.

I was thinking of chancing my arm with local auto glass, slip em a few quid see if they wud do under insurance

Kilkenny beautiful part of Ireland . and if your windscreen has had it .have a new one through your insurance and you can up date to a heated screen at about £300

given half the chance I would re locate to Ireland but things are so expensive now I come over about 3 times a year we stay mainly around Donegal

Tell me about it, I moved over 13 years ago so I've seen a few changes, definitely rip off Ireland tho'. Donegal is the only county I've not got to yet would love to tho, hear so many great things.

Gonna cost me nearly 2k to bring a Landry over just isn't worth it anymore with the VRT they charge here, looks like I'm lumbered with ****e spec

I'm planning on moving to ****-cheap-Wales from this ****hole called Bournemouth. I was born here (Christchurch) but been away for years and the hometown I knew and loved has long gone. Wish I'd never come back :(

Anyway, I'd fit the switch and fuses etc first, then when the windscreen accidently cracks, tell Autoglass that it is a heated one. When they arrive- with the heated screen- just say it is supposed to be heated and you wondered why it never worked.....

Not that I'm planning any such tactic.... ;)
