I'm in Hampshire - Bishops Waltham. Am looking forward to learning how to drive the Defender properly I've never had a 4x4 so it's all new to me!

not wishing to spoil anything, but make sure you look after it, as it'll be
very desirable to certain lightfingered "gentlemen".
even on a newish one security is poor,:(

Is there anything I can do to make it less nickable? I have a lot to learn so any advice would be much appreciated

I think there's quite a few threads on here, do a searchy thing. Best advise is to keep it out of sight and locked away! Otherwise, before you know it, it will be registered as a Series II tax exempt pickup!

Thanks I'll have a look. I know you can get a tracker but that's only useful if the person that nicks it doesn't find it and take it off!

And only helps after the event. Best to try and stop the buggers taking it in the first place!

And with one as nice as yours they might just try and load it onto a truck, best to bolt it down or hide it away!

Welcome, I am also a proud new owner of a Landy and finding this site really good for information, not looked back since chopping in in my old car. Also the jokes thread is quality! :hysterically_laughi

By the way, I would recommend SkyTag. They are very easy to fit and hide away. The service they provide is also spot on. I also bought a Clutch Claw. I'm pretty pleased with both.
