apart from this bit from direct.gov.uk

"
a new chassis or monocoque bodyshell of the same specification as the original. A receipt from the dealer or manufacturer is required. "

but like you say give it a try.. after all they can only say no and make you iva at worst

cheers steve

yep.its the same spec for springs and load bearing but just a tad longer....ill try and see what happens i think.

i would be bothered if i was useing another vehicle but im not so sod it....

I dont see why i cant keep my I.D as its all the bits just a replacement chassis and a propshaft lol...with those parts being land rover its not getting modified just rebuilt.

90and 110 springs were diffrent last time I looked!

Not wishing to be nosey, but wtf has happened to the 90 chassis that it cant be rebuilt?

ahh but the load rateing can be the same as a 90 spring so its not any different in capacity to the 90 as far as weight carrying is concerned.
the 90 chassis is good but it dont fit fence posts in.....
i dont need the weight of gross a 110 has so no need to have it sva.its just an slight change in length..

bob your a fecking strange Herbert if your going the galvo chassis route ,just buy a fooked 110 and swap all the **** from your 90 on to it probably work out cheaper, take its something to do with that set up you were on about a while back about modding the 90,s tub

a galvo 110 chassis is around 1500 quids....:)

i have a 200tdi 90 with a disc braked rear axle.so in my mind i can have a 110 tray back useing my existing land rover as doner including the numberplate apart from the obvious prop shaft and brake pipe changes etc i just dont see the poimt in buying a 110 when all i need is a chassis.....

seems to be the best solution with least effort to get the wagon i want,as for the legalaties there is a section for change on the v5 and so long as i have the new chassis stamped with the correct numbers for my land rover and destroy the 90 chassis i dont see the problem,i will purely be refitting new parts without modification.

i would not say that a standard set up 90 is any different to a 110 in build standards with requirements to strength.its not like ill be bobtailing a shagged disco with a bit of rsj...
