You can only fit the mod if the cooling system is working correctly and the engine does not overheat:)

He referred to a part number Keith, which was the third head sensor, he cannot fit that without the later loom or some wiring mods. But obviously he can fit your mod. See post #60.

Yes, but he wants the mod because he has an overheating problem judging by the PM I received.

Yes Keith i know. But the answer i gave was when he asked in post 60 if the third sensor, part number STC2254 quoted by Tomcatrr could be fitted to his 1997 car. I said NO but you can fit Keiths fan mod. If he has an overheat problem now, i agree he needs to sort that first before doing any mod. Masking a problem is never good practice. :)

kapilamuni, is your overheating problem due to your viscous fan?
If yes, perhaps Datatek mod, can help you.
If not......sorry...

About STC2254, it´s a "simple" termoswitch with a 100ºC trigger point.
You can use it, swapping the variable thermoswitch in the Datatek mod, for example.

The people who did this upgrade(stc2254), found a little work and some difficulty...
It´s better than nothing, but the AC fan kick a "little to late"...

For others words, stay with Datatek Mod ;)
