Door card weather seals

I have removed the door cards from my 02 plate defender 110 to do some patch repairs and sort out the central locking. The weather seal (plastic sheet held on with gumgum) on the inside of each door was torn and fell to pieces as I removed it. Question is, do I need to replace them? Cheers guys!

Happened to mine. Never replaced them, cos' no doubt I'll need to be in there again! I can't see a huge benefit in having them - other than draft

I wouldnt worry

Defender door cards are plastic plus they leak so much it wouldn't make any difference, I a. Normal vehicle with fibreboard doorcards a it would lead to moisture molding it all up...
