Yea halfords do mixes, just abit pised off cos was hoping to get the job done but cant cos ive got the wrong colour and cant get another cos its sunday and im working all week

Re halfords paint I recently went of to me local halfords for a nice tin of paint to be mixed.. Give. Em said code under said bonnet .bonnatti grey code 659 .. Well the stuff they made me up was a hell of a lot darker than the car in fact it's useless .complained got no where as well its your code sir ?well look its very very dark almost black ? .. Nothing doing so a wise tail be aware ...

I've bought an aerosol of epsom green off the shelf in Halfords and it was a perfect match.

It wasent halfords I went to this morning it was a local spares shop but ive bought paint from them before and not had a problem think someone probably swoped the lids bastards

Funny you say that, I never buy the front tin from the display. Don't honestly know why but I always take one from further back.

Nope beads are rounded for squashing and flattening alloys and stainless steel for smoothness , however grit , dirk , sand . Garnet plastic it jagged for breaking stripping paint

Just on with painting them now
turns out the colour I thought was wrong is right after 3 coats so I used it as a base
looking pretty good so far ill up some pics in a few hours once ive lacquered them and removed all the tape

Im thinking of doing my wheels black chrome, but cant decide whether i sholud wait as i want some stormers. Well im tempted anyway.

just had to quickly scurry them back into the garage cos its f-ing raining now
I spoted some hurricanes in gunmetal gray the other day and was thinking about it! theres a pic on an earlyer post
but though id try this first
if I dont like them I can redo them

prob 20 a wheel mate. just enough to cover paint and a drinky for me. yeah ive seen them that colour before now, the holland and holland ones are nice too.

im not far from m62 saddleworth so if you do need anything doing let me know. Always find it pays doing favours for people!

Ive took all the tape off and although ive not lacquered them yet and its starting to get dark they look ok
might take you up in a few weeks cos im thinking of colour coding my bumpers but want them doing properly. flatening ect...

The Holland & Holland RR was done by Overfinch...

Looks like you haven't washed the brake dust off lately
On the other hand the brake dust won't show so much so must be good

Lol the camera dont show the colour properly but in the light you can clearly see its green

Top job & a proper bargain

A quality job, I doubt I could get anywhere near as good with the taping off. Let us know how well they hold up to road use, as I would like to refurb my wheels at some point.
