Hi every one,

I tried to post a wanted thread in the sales section but even after reading the rules it wouldn't let me, I am guessing I may be too new.

I wanted to post a thread for a wanted part.

I want to get a bonnet mounted spare wheel carrier for my 110 Defender, but cant seem to find any.

Iv searched eBay and found a bonnet with one fitted in Cornwall for £45, but the bonnet itself looks shabby compared to mine and I am too far to collect it.

Has any one got any suggestions.

Cheers, Steve:D

take the spare wheel mount off the back and bolt it to your bonnet? if you dont have one, discos are ten a penny in the scrapyard, and they all got wheel mounts on the back door. makes lifting the bonnet hard bloody work mind.

Would someone like to post a link to the sales rules that bothThor1950 & Livers mention.

I simply went to http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f62/sale-wanted-rules-169196.html

I suggest you might want to go to the same section I did, go to the Land Rovers For Sale and Wanted > Land Rover Accessories & Parts
& read the post For Sale & Wanted Rules sticky post at the top, posted by Roy, it doesn’t mention anything about how many posts you should have done before posting a wanted within that section; it simply explains how the section is now managed.

or are Thor1950 & Livers, both senior members who might both be simple p*** takers.

Is it your role to make any members who ask questions, feel like they are fare game for ridicule rather than constructive support.

I think theres some actual Law that dictates where the spare can be, I think thats why they currently mount the spare on the flimsy rear door,

You need to check those bolts, lost one on the M5 last week.

i just double checked because i had read it only last week. and it states in the for sale section that You must have a minimum of 50 constructive forum posts to post here. but as you've posted it doesn't say it when you look in the wanted rules. I've been trying to get my post count up without just typing any old **** so I could post a wanted add. Can someone who is in charge let us know whats what?

This has been covered to death but in case you can't see it, here it is once again

Now please tell me you can see the 50 post rule.
Have a nice day:D

Have you put your spare wheel on you bonnet and sat in your seat to see if you really want it there :D

Thank you Biggeeeee

For pointing out the front page section again to me, Iv been back and found that the section I wanted and logically went too does clearly state it in the sub section of the title page.

I humbly apologise for missing it the first time around and for even bothering to post what I considered a simple question, that being did any one have any suggestions as to where I could get a spare wheel bonnet mount for my defender, the comment about not being able to post in the right section was I believe a passing one.

Thank you to Jonnyb1990 for raising the legal question, I will look into that, it would explain why I do not see many bonnet mounted wheels on defenders now. I think I will search the answer on a different forum though.

Thank you too to rasher for his comment about posting any kind of sh** just to keep your post count up, rather than being helpful and constructive like some of the others who felt the need to answer this post with sarcasm (oh have I just done the same).
