What have you done to your Landie today.

I've had the fuel pump out again today. Two reasons. One, so I could bend the wire the float was on so as to make the gauge register more accurately (blimey, it's a stiff wire) and two, so I could re-seal the join between the pump and the tank. I put it together 'dry' back in January, and the rubber seal seemed to be OK on its own, but the other day I filled the tank as full as it would go to make the most of a 5p a litre off voucher and noticed a small leak. It's fixed together with gasket compound to help it now. I'll let it solidify for a day or two and then fill the tank right up to see if it is any better.

but if you bend the float wire it will not register correctly.

today i made an exhaust andwired up a horn for the mot.fixed the cd player.put a cd in and its stuck.good its a good cd lol

finished painting it

got the rest of the painting done friday when we had nice weather, then it got rained on today  hope it isnt ruined.......

Took a few hours just to put on one of my new doors, most of that time was spent trying to line the damn thing up however. Happy though and just got the drivers side to do then I can stick on my shiny free lasalle door cards :)

Just spent 2 hours under my Disco 2 getting to and cleaning the connector for the xyz switch on auto box. Didn't help :(

Ordered new xyz switch, they are damn expensive these days. Should have bought one 3 years ago, they were 170 squids then, genuine Land Rover as well. Ah well

Ah yes, but I'm something of a traditionalist here. Call me old fashioned, but I would like a system that says empty when the tank's empty (not nearly a quarter full, as it does at present) and full when the tank is full. If the float were to sit a little higher in relation to the position of the sensor, it would be a lot more accurate and by bending the wire, that's what I've done.

Fitted new rear shocks, fitted the passenger seat back in.

I then came over all strange and cleaned the inside! First time in 9 years so I suppose it needed it :)

My inverter came today so I screwed it to the bulkhead behind the driver's seat and attached it to my new fuse box. Seems OK and charges the laptop nicely, which is what I wanted. The iPad seems a bit more temperamental and doesn't appear to like it, but I can carry on charging that off the lighter socket instead.

(Well, Yesterday) gave her a clean out, added my 240 input on the back, will be connected to a couple of 240V sockets and the inverter.
Already installed is a 240V contactor, so when the socket is connected to a live supply power is cut to the injector pump, no chance of driving off with it connected then.
Just need to find where I put the 12V changeover relay so I can get it to swap automatically to the inverter.

Also, got my van seats in (Finally, had enough of the wifes nagging cos they were in the living room)

Very nice, match quite well, and nice and comfey too :)

Speak English please :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Well my Landy came up with a new modification on its own today.

It decided to install a shower in the passenger side, soaked daughter :D:D:D

Off out to see how it managed to do that. I suspect its the windscreen washers as I had pressed the button but no water on the windscreen. Strange thing is the vents were not open.

The pipe from the washer bottle runs behind the top of the dash inside the bulkhead
