Blasting was £100 and galving £170.
I say it owes me £10k but really it's what it would cost to rebuild it. I'm not sure what it 'actually' owes me

Dan had it sand blasted after the chassis was modified and then straight to galving after drain holes were drilled to let the air out during galving.

they do do a acid dip/clean and then into a stabilizer as part of the dipping process, but they wont take one in covered in paint rust and waxoil etc..

So the s2 chassis when stripped will be sand blasted then.

Airblast on Gosfield Airfield is the place to go ;)

Had a tinker up the workshop today. Had a good tidy up, put tools away, binned loads of rubbish then started plumbing the engine bay in. Made a list of things i need, mounted the fuse box inside and thats about it really....

These were threaded compression ends with a olive. more expensive than crimp on ends but with the benefit of having a roll of hose and making them custom length to suit the job without having to fork out on a crimper.

That's great mike thanks for the info on that

Any chance of a link?

Hey mark yeah well llama is a great shout, I haven't forgotten you told me about them doing yours for you last time, but knowing me and my car, I'm really liking the opportunity to make my own whilst I'm on the job.

I have hard pipe and a flaring tool but I'd really like to go from master cylinder to all 4 calipers directly with hose, it never breaks and can be moved out of the way etc.

Wonder how much 20m of hose would be though??

Today was an inspirational day as it gave me some vision back.
Firstly i had a pipe made as it was too short due to the body lift:

Then i started painting the tank, but it was so hot it dried too quick and looked **** as you can see:

Mike was popping over to collect some tools, and was a little overheated so got the scissors out lol:

He was so distressed I was ruining his work he got the spray gun out:

So moved onto the truck. Got the rear door wired back up and the lights in:

And the front end:

The bolted the tank in:

So looking like a truck again!
