As always, might be nothing but worth giving folk local to this area a heads up..... Look out for a light blue people carrier (Renault Espace type shape) suspected of following Defenders in the Wheatly/Thame side of Oxford.

Taken from LandyWatch

Got a full and blatant follow today by a light metallic blue Renault
People car like an espace not shore watt model it was 3up
And did not take number plate did not think at the time
And it was shotover park/Wheatley side of Oxford

I was shocked!! At 1st I was thinking no I've just been
On landywatch to much ha ha.. But the car was so close on the a40
I was thinking mate back off a bit then every time I made a move he matched it
So I tryed a random drive about my village then the penny dropped
And it got to the stage of if I stop are they going to get out ?
So all I could think of was head to the shotover park I have farm access up there for shooting and
The tracks up there are bad.. So I took my time and yep they followed me untill
The 1st wheel topping puddles of water did not slow down till I was back on Tarmac and I sat down a lain for
10min..so heads up boys and girls if your tame side of the Oxford..

I suspect 'Tame'=Thame

I'm over Cholsey way at times - will warn a mate up that way. (His neighbour recently had a KTM enduro stolen)

That's pretty spooky if you ask me. Perhaps good idea to start locking the doors as you drive in case car jacking is the latest thing?

Personally - i would have no hesitation to use low range and shove any attempted car jack jacking out of the way.....

:violent:

I have tho had defensive driving training - and certainly the part concerning 'immobilisation of attacking vehicle' - easily applied with a Land Rover without high speed manouvre or risk to yourself. Speed to escape - a land rover does not have. But the ability to 'self defend' or go off tarmac etc is.

I am assuming I was followed back home for my vehicle to be have cased. Particilary as I wss parked off and away from a road.

Ultimately - no 'object' is more valuable than life.

As I get near home if anyone has been following me for more than a mile, I'll pull over and let them pass.

Just cos I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me...
