7 wires to convert, oils and filters to change, steering box to work out, change log book, insure and tax it to go!!

yes and no, the hardest part was finding all the parts and the money to pay for it all, also having nothing to go by so it was all guess work, a 300tdi defender parked next to me would have helped a lot. I still have little things to do that would have been avoided if I could see what goes where, for example; I think I will need to put some spacers under the engine mounts to lift the engine up 1/4 inch, and chop down my old radiator bracket to fix it past the intercooler. but on the scale of things they are a very small jobs compared to what else has happened. I really hope I've finally got some reliability in the old girl at last, after all this is the 3rd engine and second gearbox I've fitted to it!!!

The power of eBay
He got a good deal if the kids weren't so big I would of keep it

Sad now

Damage.... steering guard bent, stereo doesnt do fm anymore, last mud guard ripped off and my indicators dont like to work sometimes!! but on the other side of the coin, the 300tdi was great, had water well over the bonnet to the point that water was poring in through the heater, it climbed almost everything and didnt get stuck all day! i will have to fit breathers to my diffs and adjust the transfer box as it kept jumping out of low range but.. meh thats not a big job

i wont be out to play in my landy until after my wedding, its going to be a wedding car so dont want to trash it, then i will be back in quarrys lanes and abroad

Was that near little thetford. When you out again as id like to come. Have to be a sunday though.

A few miles away from there but close enough.

There were some nice lanes but the problem is they are all so short as they are bisected by main roads which is a shame.

Do you have anything decent out in Bedfordshire?

Most of the bedford lanes are tro,d. Dont know why as there all flat and dry. Think the local council doesnt like 4x4s. Shame really. Few still open. Your about an hour away so not to far.
