Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of side windows that are non opening?

Fed up of the rattling and considering that I have never opened them, there doesn't seem to be much point in them. Thought I'd just get some fixed ones. I have seen them on a few that are county conversions but I am struggling to find a supplier.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Same as you, I think they are a car thefts dream.
Check out lr4x4 as there is a guide on how to replace the two piece glass unit with a one piece glass unit to fit in the existing frame bought from a local glazers and a few tools.
If I find it I'll post the link.

That is a great guide!

Where can you get the toughened glass from though?

No problem mate.
Like the guide says, you will need to work out the measurements using you two half windows taking into account the overlap. Make a template and test fit.
When done ring round you local window glaziers and ask about 4 or 5mm toughened glass and take along you template.

Another option is I believe that some defenders supplied in other countries had 1 piece windows fitted using a rubber seal similar to the windscreen rubber or the little windows either side of the rear door.
don't know much about that option though?
