Spent 18 months wanting to chop my Disco in for a 12 seater 110. Now I have it I really miss my ES Disco with all its creature comforts. Now I don’t have a company car the 110 has become our family car and as much as I love it, its not working out. So here it is for sale and I’m on the hunt for a Disco again :)

MOT due 25/04/13
Taxed until end of April.

It started life as a 2.5 TD, but now benefits from a 200 tdi (genuine Defender engine).
Starts without any issues and drives well.
I brought her back in Sept and since then she has taken us over 3000 miles (including a 1000 mile trip to Wales) and apart from bing cold, wet and deaf its been good.

Known bad points:
Body rust (doors, lower bulk head and capping? (between tub and CSW windows).
Steering feels loose compared to my old Disco.
Sunroof was leaking, now sealed with copious amounts of Tigerseal.
CSW windows leak.
Temp gauge - works off and on.
Drivers door lock sometimes gets stuck on.
I will be removing my CB, but the mount and cable will stay in place.
Some of the ally panels are suffering with some flakey paint.
Snorkel is not sealed, I tested this by covering the top. Its been suggested that the internal pipework maybe letting in air.

Known good points :)
Engine and drive train seems very good.
The chassis is good. I was going to waxoil in the summer. As its not been done you can see what the chassis looks like nothing hidden.
Could do with some new tyres soon.
LEZ compliant (I’ve checked)
Genuine 12 seater CSW.
Seems pretty good on Diesel (See stats in my link).
Extended breathers.

I brought it off my sisters boss and she didnt keep much in the way of paperwork.
I’ve got the following:

Mark Peacock Landrovers, 20/04/10, 42643 miles, £783.73
MOT
12000 mile service
oil filter, fuel, filter, air filter, rocker cover, water pump, belts and breathers, antifreeze, ball joint, few bushes, front pads, rear shocks,

Off Road Rovers (Suffolk), 25/04/12, 50279 miles, £442.48
MOT, service, welded repairs to O/S C pillar seat belt, welding to O/S & N/S pillar (underside), welding rear cross member, bulbs, diesel return pipes, oils and filters,

Few photos below. I still have the white steelies and will be keeping my black mods for the new Disco. I have already promised the roofrack to a friend so this is not included.

Looking for £2750, viewing at weekends welcome.

I was with this 110 in wales last year, went everywhere the 90's did and performed excellently, very good land rover...

Thanks for the comments. I will miss him.
But any funds left over will go towards resurrecting my 50 year old S2a.

Is the Landy still for sale?

If so would it be ok to come a view it, i'm based in Diss and available most of the time.

It wasn't but is now.

tax is out very soon and money is really tight.
Just sent someone this message same applies to anyone else:

Issues:
Steering is vague and sounds like a belt screaming - this needs sorting.
Roof leaks
Drivers door lock sticks
Rust to lower bulkhead (near hinge) see photos
Rust to back passenger doors where the window frame meets the lower part of the door.
All original and unmolested except a genuine safari snorkel.
Temp gauge does not work (never has).
I was going to sort the steering (been told the symptoms indicate the box might need tighting and or bushes). I have brought a new damper but its not fitted yet. clean it up and then reMOT it. Was looking for £2750 with all issues sorted and fresh MOT.

If someone wants to save me the aggro and expense then £2100K buys it right now (the steering and MOT should cost nothing like £650!!)

Nr Manningtree.
Will be re-MOT'd by the end of the month. Price will be £2750.
I'll update the thread then (unless someone buys it for £2100 with short MOT).
Cheers Nick.

Doesn't expire until the 25th
I've just had to order a brand new exhaust (full system) and radiator (just started leaking), receipts will be kept so the guarantees will be transferable.

These are being fitted at a friends workshop tomorrow, along with a sump gasket and oil and filter change.

I'll be booking in for the mot next week.
I'll keep you posted.
Cheers nick.

Indecisiveness rules, its back for sale

MOT completed in May at huge cost (steering uj, brand new radiator, brand new exhaust, a frame joint, wheel bearing and repairs to the bulk head - photos below).
Taxed until end of oct.

Paint work flaky in areas and repairs to bulk head are still black. Could be patched using Aerosol Paint - Coniston Green - Solid LRC570 - Genuine Land Rover at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

Or repainted in full (loads of how to threads on here)

Sum up: looks a bit tatty (it is 24 years old, hopefully gets less attention).
But mechanically sound.

Photos of bulk head repairs:
