Changed the rear fuel lines above fuel tank this evening. What a pig of a job, & 4 ####ing fuel lines later & £156.00 lighter. Can't help feeling ripped off. I know I could have had them a little cheaper on line, but needed them ASAP. On the plus side, I did save money on labour by doing the job myself. Oh and what a stupid design & position to place these lines, their destined to fail in another 2-5 years. While I had the tank out, I also treated the chasis to a shower of waste oil.

Had the same problem with mine which had been repaired/bodged by the previous owner. Not leaking at present so I have left it alone.

Yeah it happened to me 5 years ago and Stratstones said they would cover the cost as it was one of many that had not been called back, 80.000 miles later and boom, it's happened again. The independent wanted £140.00 +VAT for the lines & £60.00 + VAT an hour labour, (roughly 3 hours work). I done it my bloody self. I really don't know where they get the price for these lines from, just 4 plastic pipes with some fancy push clips on the ends. I'm sure we are all paying for the call backs land rover did. I'm sure they were like £50.00 odd or so a few years back when land rover were liable for this callback.
