Never,but then I've always jacked up on level ground. I'd use it if on a slope or uneven ground.

I always use both chocks and the bottle jack supplied and haven't had any issues.

Somehow I don't think he is sincere about appreciating our advice
Used my 21 year old jack today to jack up the car of all things and guess what, I used the chock too.
In all seriousness the bottle jack supplied with my 200tdi as standard is a great tool.

I use mine all the time and will be using it again to take out the gearbox from the series
