I just had my renewal notice come through from Privilege. I've been with them for 8 years, but only got the Discovery (1997 300 tdi) in August. They wanted £310 for comprehensive with protected no claims and £300 excess, (£150 voluntary and £150 compulsory). I searched for something cheaper on compare the market.com and the RAC came up as my best option. £205, comprehensive with protected no claims, free legal cover and courtesy car, £100 excess (£0 voluntary and £100 compulsory), windscreen cover, etc. I thought that was a great deal. :)

That similar to what I have in cover with Royal and Sun Alliance arranged through e choice but my premium is £174 with 200 excess and without a courtesy car as I have a company car to use:).

But as always the premuim is based on the perceived risk.

Who did the RAC insure your disco with?

90 quid cheaper than mine with RAC

Similar vehicle, no points, old person, no claims so must be the area:confused:

The area must make quite a difference. Still worth going onto comparethemarket.com and getting a quote, though, because for some reason their quote was lower than everyone else's for the same policy.

Cant believe you didnt PM Dan with your details to allow him to look 'look in to' this for you. He so good at quoting this but afterwards never hear from him
Would appear Dan isnt really the man who can!

Yours sounds a good deal got my Disco II for £201fully comp but its part of a multi car policy
