Dont look to bad. Needs some mud :p Heaters are not that bad if set up right. Mines lovelly and toasty.

Looks very shiny. It's worth looking at all the ball joints in the steering very carefully and wobbling them about to see if you can detect any play. Ideally, they should be nice and tight. Most of them aren't too difficult to change and spares are cheap. The only one that's fiddly is the one in the steering arm/drop arm on the steering box, where you either have to replace the whole arm (and they can be hard to get off) or fit new ball joint components to the hole in the end, which involves forcing them in against a very stiff spring whilst retaining them with a rather frisky and spirited spring clip which tends to twang and disappear under the car. Worth doing though and can improve the handling a lot.

how do you set them up mate cheers john

Make sure all cables are operating correctly. Back flush the matrix.you will be surprised at the amount of crap. Make sure no air leaks on ductwork or heater box to bulkhead. What's your engine temp gauge say.

Nice looking fender there mate, if your engine runs cool which most tdi's do its not a bad idea to place something in front of the rad in the winter months. I use a piece of Perspex but even cling film over the grill works well, it'll make your engine get up to a decent working temp quicker in return making your heater warmer just place it over the rad side tho and not the intercooler (left) side.

I'd jack up the front of your motor and check for play in either track rod ends and also check steering column uj's, you should easily spot any free play if its there!

Really lovely looking Defender, looks to be in great order for the year!

PS. Don't forget rear mudflats for MOT, its a fail.

Happy driving, health to enjoy...

Mine failed without them. Maybe NI is stricter, I was ****ed off to say the least! Told I didn't need front ones but needed rear.

thanks for replys lads 1 cable wasnt pulling up sorted loads better just got to get my spotlights working now lol

I was wanting this landy. Was in Harrogate right?? She looks to be a nice 90. I'm going to collect a 1996 90 this morning!
