My recently acquired series 3 SWB sags at the rear drivers side corner.

I've tried slackening off the hanger bolts all around, nothing is broken and it doesn't seem that the chassis mounts have been moved.

The springs dont look new, but aren't original (at a guess under 5 years old maybe)

There is no extra weight in the back either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

think so, ill double check tomorrow.

the spring sits more flat compared to the other side.

its quite annoying not knowing why its sagging....lol

thanks

I once experienced this on my old '59 series 2, it sagged to the drivers side rear and the largest leaf seemed "flatter" than the corresponding passenger side. The leaf had indeed suffered a fracture directly below the centre of the axle. This was the opportunity for me to fit paras and polybushes all round the next weekend.
