wednesday's op day now, today got cancelled due to breathing problems over sat night / sunday. identified a ruptured lung lobe on monday and ended up with chest cavity drain to bleed the air. (3 way tee piece and syringe) bleed every hour to start and monitor amount drawn off, adjust regularity accordingly. right cavity did wel from the start, left took till this morning to stop taking air.
morale being dont ring me wednesday till the evening cos i'll be at the vets all day with the phone on silent!
on the plus side, outlook is looking better now :D

i just hope to god he pulls through for you mate and it seems like he will as hes a good strong dog

no need to worry bout me mithering about the landy as if anything it can only be either an air lock or a bleeding issue ......just a case of serious tinkering to get it right and fired up :cool:;);)

reet tis been a while since i last posted and since last time shes passed her MOT and the smoking has drasticaly improved so i decided to do something about the skiddy rear tub floor and the deaffening road noise from the rear coupled with the lack of sound from the radio so

i have begun boarding out the back with 18mm resin impregnated stirling boards i nabbed off the silly builders that left half a pallet of the fekkers in the father in laws back garden and still gotta do a bit more yet but its getting there

i also couldnt put up with the rattling off the rear wiring covers so i came up with this little idea

ill update with more piccies as i progress with this little endeavour :D:D:D:D

Looks good. Hope those big speakers don't blow your rear bulbs! :)
Might be worth painting both sites of the wood so it doesn't soak up any water from the floor

already painted the back side and im just gonna leave the top side bare for now as its probably only gonna get wrecked anyway

and them speakers are only ****ty 40watt house speakers ive took appart to see if it makes any difference to the sound ;);)

100 watt speakers in mine just overpower the tire noise at 60:D
Looking good jc1 hope you has a good alternator and wiring for that stereo!

alternator is a corker and theres no amp just an old 40w per 4 way output pioneer head unit can easily hear it over the tyres difs and engine at half volume

but its gonna be a while before i get anywhere quick with this little heckstravaganza as its a summot to do when evryones out of the house things :):)

Just take ya time and enjoy it mate! Working on em is half th fun but I will give it a miss till it warms up a bit. Worth it in the end to do a thorough job!

i have been toying with the idea of putting a foam headliner in the front half of the cab as the frost and condensation is a bit annoying when it drips on me forehead

sort of like japanese water torture :D

I sorted out a few drips with taping the roof seams with greenhouse tape..
90 roof doesnt seem as rigid as series and hardtop drips with condensation. My original headlining is getting a bit saggy and mould. I have thought of replacing it and putting soundproofing stuff behind it and further back in the hardtop. Let us know how you geton with the foam.I have thought of fitting a series double roof, they have been dry in the past not sure why they dont do it now

Camping mats would work, I actually want camping mat backing with a sheepskin outer for winter, be proper cosy then :D
I have soundproofing stuff, cant member what its called, I ordered it off the net. Ive already done bonnet, bulkhead footwells, doors, loadspace floor.Roof is the last bit to do.
Towing a long way on the motorway is a killer unless you have good sounproofing and it is great with AT tyrs on. Muds are a different story!
