Evening all,

As the title suggests was wonder if anyone knew whether its possible to fot RR classic front seats in a 3dr disco 1? If so has anyone done this and has pictures?

Thanks :)

Do you need tilt seats?

I fitted front seats from a 89 4 door rangie in to a 97 5 door Disco. They bolted straight in..... but the same seats didnt fit a 95 disco :) The rear bolted on differently.

I've done it, but it's not that straight forward. The 3 door disco seat frames are narrower and shorter than the RRC seat rails, so you'll need to fabricate something to make them fit. I also found they sit too high, so I've joggled a piece of 6mm flat steel along the front to drop the rails about an inch below the top of the disco seat frames. I've used 6mm flat along the back of the RRC rails too and then welded this to the disco seat frame.

I'll get some pics for you tomorrow when it's daylight.

Only real downside to them is that they don't tilt as nicely as the disco seats, so getting access to the rear seats can be abit of a squeeze.

Yeh I have the arm rests and they line up perfectly with the centre cubby box. They're abit of a pain though because they get in the way of the seat belt buckle.
