Anyhow I was just going through my old photobucket albums and I found pictures of her work, it always amazes me what she can do, she's a clever lass but she'd never tell you. But I thought some of you might interested in it:
She made this as a leaving present for the staff at the job that she's just left. She designed it all herself and she was pouring effort into it for a weeks in the evenings. It's all made from etched brass and hand finished with patinas. I want her to make one for me!
You wouldn't believe it but this is all fibreglass and metal powders built from scratch, it would be perfectly happy at the Greenwich museum I reckon - shame she left it at university. God knows if they still have it.
I really hope someday she'll get a job where they actually pay her to do this stuff properly, she enjoys it so much.
