Morning all

I feel like a right chump putting this up but here goes

I need to transplant my 200tdi defender engine into my petrol 90 ASAP and I'm not ashamed to say it but I'm a little wary of doing it myself as I now don't feel too confident and also don't really have the facilities at the moment

I have most important parts etc but I'm aware more bits and bobs may be needed along the way

Looking for someone with the correct knowledge and hopefully not to far from me to carry out the work etc

I'm based in Sidcup, Kent

Cheers

Wayne

its not realy a job for a non mechanic mate ! theres loads of things to change !! get a landrover manual and read up !! if you can get it to leicestershire theres a man who can !!! and will ! but it will cost ! if you want it spot on expect to spend at least a grand !! you will need . an engine.rad and intercooler pipes etc . some electrical bits . new steering hoses. you have to lower your rad mounts 25mm !!! it can be done by yourself but try to get all parts before you start !!!you also hsve to moddify turbo !!! guys name is darren hes a propper landrover man !!! pm me if you need his no !!! he gives advice for free!!!good luck

its easy but you do need to drill and tap three six mm threads " to rotate the housing to point upwards !! it makes hoses real easy . some people choose to go through inner wings with pipework !! if you have a genuine 200 in a defender then the turbo sits up high but a disco 200 has the turbo down lower !! in its standard position a 200 disco turbo can bo awkward to connect to the intercooler rotating this housing makes it very neat and simple !!!!

i have just put a 200 disco in my 90 pretty easy really...swap the back of the 2.5 engine with the 200 {clutch housing} get the 2.5 to 200 conversion pipe off ebay 80 pound job done....
