Big wheels and lowered

Here, why not get some worn out springs? I had a set before I got my Bearmachs, dammit! Would've lowered it by a couple of inches...

going stick it out there I think with a set of uprated standard length springs and some later spec 18" P38 or sport rims in adapters it would look smart! Just don't go getting no 22" things.

Doesn't work, the uprated springs don't 'sag' like stock springs, so effectively lift the vehicle a tad ..

I fitted 18" hurricane alloys with adaptors to my classic lse with 255 55 18 tyres. there is still enough rubber to make it look right but the wheels look more suited to the vehicle (mabe because its an lse). it looks very good in access mode (yes EAS still fitted and working). I also have a 200tdi series 3 and a V8 series 1 that get down and dirty so no abuse required! Alive tuning may be able to supply lowering springs as they do kits for 90's, however, I work for AST suspension and we are looking at producing lowering springs for 90, 110 disco 1/rrc in the near future along with up-rated dampers and anti roll bars.

While your at it why don't ya fit a body kit and maybe one of those huge really gay sounding exhausts to hang out the back???
Then you could fit a set of them neon lights to go underneath then some tinted windows oooh and maybe a load of chrome aswell :D
Proper boy racer style!!! INIT!!!

This is how it should be lowered.

It will look crap.
You will look a nob.
Just put standards on to tow.
You are basically taking a capable vehicle and making it incapable.

Sell it.

to be fair i'm using whatty's disco at the moment whislt mine is off the road and it does handle alot better than mine jacked up 300. i guess we are all different. I've seen loads of td5 defenders with massive dub style rims on, and they can look good

mm likeing the idea of a set of 18 in rims on lowered springs. I do have spacers on at the min with td5 arches which look ok but the wheels make it look dated. I have even gone to the effort of putting 300 tdi lights in with clear indicaters which made a masive difference. Might even go buy some stainless exhaust parts from demon tweeks and make myself a twin exit 3in big bore. thinkin about putting some vents on the wings off the range rover.

You just answered your own question. Try demon tweeks for the shocks and springs, I think koni do a set of adjustable one's

just no. I am after the retro overfinch look, but better and a good handling range rover with the proper classic styling that is good for towing my trial vehicle to events. the LSE is too tidy to thrash off road thats why i also have a series.
