as said before:-
The Original Harmon Kadron head unit.
12 Harmon Kardon Speakers :-
A tweeter in each of the A Pillars
2 speakers in each door which are Mids and main
2 sub /bass speakers in the back door
6 cd auto changer and Alpine amp

head unit,Speakers, amp and changer standard fit it the motor
and as designed it sounds ACE, if it sound's good why fcuk about with it.

Sendai head unit, cheap and cheerful, but doesnt sound 1/2 bad, radio, MP3CD, usb on the front, and aux and takes SD cards, does bluetooth hands free too, only cost me £60.

Cant remember what me front speakers are, but the rear pair are MoS 6x9s
missing a bit at the bottom end, so a sub will be going in at some point, but its listenable, so getting more functional goodies first.

Hey guys
Just thought I'd do a poll about what sound system you have in your Land Rover :D
Can you write what you have on this thread? Cheers :biggrin1:

Hi Dave your 4th pic is that a custom made cd holder? looking to put this

ES825EN 7" 1 Din In Dash HD Car DVD Player Sat Nav IPOD DVB-T Radio | eBay

into my car and dont think it will fit in the disco slot as its down by the low ratio and heater stick/knobs.

currently got 2 4.5" Edge speakers in front, and standard land rover speakers in the back. with a pioneer mp3 cd player. looking next for a active flat sub to go under the seat.

Ideally wanted Fusion speakers and subs to go with the car colours but cant get any more from halfords and ebay is hard to get the right sizes grr

Both Freelander and Disco have original factory stuff, Disco's sounds good as its that there Harmon Kardon stuff and Freelander sounds rubbish as its the commercial so has standard cheap head unit and a speaker in each door that now vibrate like a vibrating thing if ya give it to much volume :(

Can honestly say I have never switched the radio on in any car that I have owned, 45years on the road. I listen to the engine and transmition and to whats going on aroud me. Should be baned like mobile phones, how the hell people can drive and concentrate with all that noise is beyond me, maybe thats why so many young people end up in a wall.

Utter tripe! Just means that you cant think properly.

Having a bit of music playing isnt the cause young people end up in walls. Its because they are twa*s and shouldnt have been given keys in the first place.

Music is needed for entertainment when the sound of the engine gets boring or becomes the sound of a headache.

It's all personal, I've got a subwoofer which is quite loud. I find it hard to concentrate when very loud music is playing, but I like having a bit of AC/DC while I drive :)
