Hello,

Prob an easy one but I have a squeaky front right brake, the squeaking goes when I turn left or apply brake, only does it I think after a few miles (i.e. when warm).

I'm guessing the callipers aren't returning correctly when warmed up and expanded. A clean and a grease up do you think? Or anything else to look for?

thanks in advance!

New pads? Take pads out and smear some copper grease ( only a little) on the back of the pad where it contacts the piston - usually works.

squeeking is caused by the small vibrations in the pad. Put some copper slip on the back to eliminate this

Sometimes when the pads have not been removed for a while they can stick in the caliper slightly, as above remove the pads and give the caliper, carrier and pads a good clean with a wire brush then coat the back of the pad and the edge of the pad where it comes into contact with the caliper carrier.

Also check the the caliper sliders are free to move.

think some of them have a small piece of metal embedded in the pad material which is designed to rub against the the disk and vibrate making a squealing sound when the pads are getting low.
