I have just had my car MOtd and they recommend some work on my Rear upper and lower suspension arms which have play in a pin/brush can you tell me if this is a big job in terms of time and costs

This is my first time ever on a medium of this sort so forgive me if i am being stupid

You'd be better getting someone to do it for you. It's a pig of a job. But if you do want to do it yourself, just buy a pair of complete arms as they come with bushes already installed, and they are around £85 + VAT each.

You will need to cut the arms off, as they are probably corroded, and you can't access the nuts/bolts due to the airspring and the chassis being too close. Ideally, the fastest thing is a mini aircutter tool like this one:
Sealey SA6501 Long Reach Air Cut-Off Tool - YouTube

Draper do a similar one, which I use.
