Thought I'd give britpart a go. As I have replaced a few things with britpart and no worries "yet"
Seen quite a few threads on here with most saying there ****e and don't touch them. Now It doesn't say that most these people are talking from experience. So I'm thinking are they just saying what the flow says. Because Mud does stick. Once you get a bad name no matter how good you or your product is, It will be very hard to recover from that.
Right what I am doing is I'm going to replace all bushes with Flowflex from britpart. 2" Suspension lift Brit again. Rear donut and aframe ball joint Brit. All ujs again just because I may aswell while taking everything off. Bearings front. Already done the back Brit again No probs been done over a year now.
So when I get round to it I will let you all know how things are going and if anything fails within the year.
Have you had a good experience with britpart?

Theres plenty of their stuff that is fine , I have used their body panels for years and still do .The UJs are good . However , I have had quite a lot of stuff that was very not OK , so now I am cautious about them . I am quite matey with the parts guy at the local indy supplier and he tells me what has come back and what they have had complaints on . He will sell me their stuff (usually the cheapest) if I insist but with a caveat . I am fitting some panels today but was advised against the exhuast as there had been a lot of moans .

In the end its hard to generalise but then as you you say , mud sticks , and if I didnt have someone advising me I would avoid them due to all the problems I have had in the past . Anyway , Allmakes is nearly as cheap .

britpart is a wholesaler ,that sells pattern and branded and genuine parts ,some pattern is **** ,much is made by the same factory for all 3 of the wholesalers

Tried to fit a Britpart D2 rear coil conversion the other day, only to find the lower spring seats were incorrectly manufactured. They rested on the axle, rather than the axle bracket. The Bearmach kit fitted fine.

For a DIYer, who wants to do it as cheap as possible, Britpart is worth it (I guess). Anyone else needs to look elsewhere.

JM , the three wholesalers in question being Britpart , Bearmach and Allmakes ? Or who ?

Didnt realise this but quite obvious when you think about it ! As usual , good useful info from you .

I must say after repeated fit and forget ....for 3 months , on their water pumps and no probs with Allmakes or Bearmachs I did start to get somewhat aggrieved

i've got a bripart lift kits that got to be getting ong for 4yr old now, yes there is alittle sag in the springs but other than that its fine. I did have a pair of rear standard bripart shocks fail after ten months but that was it. also my disco has britpart doughnut, sports exhaust, and soon to be fitted polybush kit. I shall wait an see as to how long it all lasts

I fitted a 2” lift britpart suspension kit over 10 months ago and no problems, I wanted the cellular dynamic kit that was more expensive, but was told by the supplier not to buy it as he was getting loads of them coming back under warranty.

I buy the britpart filter kits and change them regularly and again no problems, going to do my cambelt in the next few weeks and that won’t be britpart

Well Kit finally fitted. Would have done it quicker but work commitments and dam weather. Found I had to put anti-roll bar on spacers as it kept flipping over but apart from that. all's good in the hood. Just got to wait for tyres now all down to money. let you all know how poly bushes, springs and shocks go on. hopefully no probs.:D
