Hi Sll,my td5 has 205k on vehicle, engine was changed at 160k.Gearbox at 200k.My Tdi only had a headgasket at 210k and has 240k on original engine.

Just bought a td5 disco with 204k on it but it smokes if you let it tick over then rev it and it stinks of oil(no idea what it is-tell me if you know) wish I still had my 300 disco

I ticked off 200,000 miles yesterday. I have it taken care of by a mechanic and it is still driving superbly. I am not looking forward to it 'getting past its best' 'cos I love it. It is a true pleasure to drive and, as far as I am aware, its only problem is some rust on the rear O/S chassis - MOT advisory. I've had him from new and he really is part of the family.

Just bought my second td5, 53 plate less than 48k on clock with full history. :)

EGR plate bought, injector wiring loom on way, swap wheels over then old one goes on ebay.
W reg 135k head gasket gone, only just run in really compared to some on here. ;)

Hi, we have owned our TD5 manual gearbox since 2004 from new and have passed the 200,000km some time ago. Still a fine vehicle, no noises from the body. CLutch is sometimes a bit awkward but very happy with it !

close to 130.000, it had 50.000 when i bought it ... never made me huge troubles... i just love it, i better fix mine if something goes wrong than get another which i dont know;) ...maybe the LHD export modells are more reliable:D

Bought mine (2001 Td5 ) with 166K on the clock .
Now has 226K on the clock . Just replaced the gearbox - Disco now dor sale .
Road tax over here is crazy - Disco now costs over €900 a year to tax . If you do it quarterly , as many do , it will cost over €1,000.

68,000 on my v8 :)

For those who believe, no explanation is necessary.

For those who do not, none will suffice.

192000 on my 2001 td5 and still pulling strong, just done a 360 mile trip and returning 32mpg, thats with 7 people at 70mph most of the way.
