:confused:Hi very confused replaced battery last week after rangie had been sat for two months without one all the usual messages came up about windows and sunroof not being set etc went to reset them and nothing from either door switches or centre consul switch pack checked all fuses etc they seem OK.

:):)Any idea's chaps????????

:D:DAlso is there anyone close to the St Austel area with diagnostics kit as I kneed a few faults clearing please (for some bear tokens of course!!)

Could also be your BeCM mine does that occasionally disconnect the battery again wait 45 minutes and retry. The time lets the BeCM battery run down too. Unlikely, but would prove one way or the other

:confused:Gave that a go today whilst doing the matrix 'o' rings, still no joy with windows and sun roof checked all wiring and fuses while I had it apart as-well they all seem to be fine.:confused::confused::confused: Now really really confused and annoyed:mad::mad::mad::mad: as they worked properly before I changed battery.
Has anybody else any suggestions please as I really don't want to spend the summer using the air-con!!!!!!!:eek:

I'm not sure how the switches and the becm interact. The switches may be voltage switches that just push 12v to the electric motors in the windows however they may just be used to change a signal condition which is recognised by the becm causing it to send voltage to the window motors.
The answer will be in Rave if you have a copy.

Good call just checked rave and the centre switch pack and rear door switches are all linked to the BECM its the BECM that operates the windows it states in rave that if the BECM receives a door lock signal it will make the switches inoperative so I think it is a BECM problem deep joy not!!!!!

Before you start thinking the worst and blaming the becm it must be worth trying establish what signal type the switch pack sends to the becm. Once you know you will likely be able to test for it. It sounds strange that all of them would fail at once whether it was at the switch end or the becm end.

I think it will probably be the center console switch pack if both sunroof and windows and also mirrors. Do they work?
